This is a special time of year.

No matter where you are in the world or what you celebrate you celebrate, the holiday season gives us an incredible opportunity to slow down, spend time with loved ones, reflect on 2018 and plan for 2019.

So I want to be the first to wish you Happy Holidays!

I hope this holiday season is filled with love, light, laughter. 

That is my wish for you.

But there’s one thing above all else, that I hope you feel this Christmas — and that’s connection.

The new science of human connection has revealed an astounding fact…

When you’re in connection with another human being, your entire physiology changes — everything from the speed of your breath, to your heartbeat, to how you feel, the movement of your facial muscles and even the way you express yourself.

I was talking to Dr. Susan Peirce Thompson, a friend and client of mine — Susan runs Bright Line Eating, an incredibly effective weight loss methodology that’s turned into a global phenomenon.

She explained that you enjoy a significantly bigger boost to your happiness and sense of well-being if you join a social club that meets just once a month than if you doubled your income.

I know this may be kinda hard to believe because so many people think, “If only I made more money then I’d be happier!” but I think Susan’s message is extraordinarily important.

Yes, making money is awesome, and yes it’s an important part of being in business, and yes it’s super important to cultivate a money mindset that allows abundance into your life…

But so often, the pursuit of money, the pursuit of profit, the pursuit of wealth sends people — especially entrepreneurs — into a downward spiral where they lose connection with themselves, with what they want, why they want it and the people they’re here to serve.

I’m happiest in my business not just when I’m connected with my family, my peers, and my team but also with my tribe…

When I’m interacting, and engaging with them on a regular basis and when I get to hear their needs, challenges and frustrations so I can support them and help them achieve their goals and their BIG vision in business and in life.

And so today, I want to encourage you to take a few minutes and really dig deep and reflect on this:

Your happiness and success in business isn’t just driven by money but by connection.

We’re just about to get into the Christmas holidays and to me Christmas is all about that connection.

Whether you believe in Christmas or not, whether it’s something you celebrate or not, chances are you’ve got a few days off right now.

How you fill that time and space is completely up to you but I’d like to encourage you to fill it with connection…

Not just online but out in the real world 🙂

I want to thank you for your support, for your attention, for your connection and for all the work that you do in the world because I wouldn’t be here without you. Your success and your happiness are the greatest gifts I could ever ask for…

It’s the reason why I do what I do.

At the end of the day it’s not about the money for me — even though I’m grateful for it — it’s about the connection.

There’s no other purpose for this message and for this video than to give us this moment of connection where we can feel each other and I can pass on my gratitude to you.
