Google is a freakin’ river of information and we all have more information than we possibly need, for the rest of our lives!
All this free information has triggered a big change in the way people are buying and consuming products and services.
Right now, millennials are far less likely to buy a diamond ring when they get married. They’re not affected by the “diamond is forever” culture of previous generations. They’d rather skip the ring and invest in meaningful, memorable experiences.
Think about it…
What’s more memorable — scuba diving off the coast of the Great Barrier Reef in Australia or a diamond ring?
If you want to survive and thrive as an entrepreneur, know this: You must “experiencify” your business.
Let me be brutally honest here…
No one wants to buy your s**t if it’s exactly the same as everything else that’s out there.
Your clients and customers want something different. Something unique. They want to get to know the person behind the products and services. They want to enjoy an experience when they connect with you and your business.
So how can you add more YOU? How can you add “experiencification” into your customer support, your content, your marketing, your blogs and your e-mails, products, services and events?
Stop banking on information to attract clients, customers and sales.
Start looking at how you can create powerful, dynamic experiences that people can remember and cherish for the rest of their lives…
Experiences that spark transformations…
Experiences that change lives.
What matters isn’t just information or a product that people can hold in their hands.
What matters is the ongoing process of living, of being, of dreaming…
Of becoming.
When you’re tempted to put more information into your products and into your services, remember to stop, take a breath and step back. Ask yourself,
“How can I make this more of an experience? How can people experience rather than just consume my products and services?”
This isn’t the 1950s where it’s all about the perfect house, the perfect car and the perfect wife. This is 2018 and no one cares about “stuff”!
They care about life itself.
When everything you could possibly want or desire is available on Amazon, on eBay or on Google, “stuff” doesn’t matter anymore.
What thrills us as humans is the process of discovering something new.
And here’s the thing…
There’s nothing new in information. There’s nothing new in products. There’s nothing new in stuff, but there’s ALWAYS something new in the experience of your business.
Why give just information in your products and services when you can “experiencify” everything?
I DARE you to get bolder, to get more authentic and more creative with how you create your products, how you run your business and how you show up as an entrepreneur.
So, what’s one thing you can do to “experiencify” your business today? What’s one area where you can take something that’s dry or boring or just ordinary and make it dynamic, interesting, engaging and FUN?
Let me know in the comments and don’t forget to go out there…
And Live Your Message.

My thanks too dear Marissa. As usual you’re right on target with my state of mind. I’m procrastinating ever so slightly re giving
m y writing workshop, but at least I’m aware. And not prepared to compromise. Part of me thinks I’ll scare people off with
meditations on abundance of words and using a bell for timed writing. Not to mention fast tracks into the senses. Jimmy
Hendrix had an album Are You Experienced ? I’m getting there and Live Your Message had a hand in that.

So great to hear that Leslie! I wrote another great post on how to combat procrastination here: https://liveyourmessage.com/how-a-serial-procrastinator-quit-procrastinating-for-good if you want to check it out! Procrastination happens to the best of us, but I think these methods may help you a lot. 😉
